Barbara Melnik Carson

Barbara Melnik Carson is a narrative artist, fascinated by the uniqueness of our human experience. Sculpture has enabled her to capture endless stories.  Her passion for creating began in childhood growing up in Southwest Detroit. With limited art resources; in her early work she improvised using objects found in her neighborhood.  Reclaiming discarded items is a thread that continues to keep her connected to the past, while living in the present.  Her work has been exhibited both regionally and nationally and can currently be found locally at; The River’s Edge Gallery in Wyandotte, Michigan

  1. Thank you, Barb, for sharing this well designed website. It feels more like a gallery with dark background and spotlight on artwork. I love how much colors of your pieces add to the “story”.
Now I can follow more then one Ann Arbor sculptor 🙂
